I would like to meet the decision makers who thought this was the way to go.

This makes me smile.

It is the Kroger brand of cheese that is apparently the "Mexican blend."

I live in Mexico. I don't think this is the normal Mexican blend. But that's beside the point.

The point is, there are PEOPLE on this cheese bag.

Why are they there?

On the cheese bag?

Is it a lifestyle angle that they're trying to get me with? Like they're saying, "See? Overly-layered, preppy families with one child who randomly take walks on prairies mid-day LOVE this cheese, you can too!"

Kroger cheese-bag marketing peeps? Nicely done.

This photo was the clincher. I saw it and knew that this was the cheese for me. And for my blog.

  1. Ahhhahahaha.

I'm not a huge fan of cheese. (Don't hate me)

However, seeing these people, so happy and carefree? They totally make me want to eat cheese.

    Or not.

  2. HA! I wonder if that image is on every cheese...I'm gonna go check!

  3. I'd like to know. Please report back. :)

  4. Hahaha!! I have been in search of a family friendly cheese....now I know where to go to get some!

And you are telling me that isn't authentic Mexican cheese?! I feel deceived.

  5. Nothing says Mexican Blend Cheese like some preppy caucasians!! Hilarious! I guess better to have a picture of people then dogs? At least their happy people!

    1. Tee hee. Exactly. Preppy caucasians = Mexican cheese.

  6. On the "nacho & taco" package, there are two boys feeding cows potatoes. And the two boys are black. Is that bad? And then on the "sharp cheddar" are 3 young kids walking hand in hand toward a herd of cows. I can't see their faces, because they are walking away, but they have brown hair and maybe an olive complexion. ???

    1. Rachel, thank you so much for reporting back! I loved hearing about the other pics. Lol.

      Yay, Kroger.
