When it looks bad on a model...

I was browsing gap.com's big 50% off of SALE items page and spotted this gem on sale for $64.99.

Here's the description: "A shiny performance jacket makes you stand out from the running pack while keeping you insulated with ultra-soft fleece lining."

A couple of thoughts:

1.) Absolutely. You will stand out if you wear this jacket. However, I fear that you'll also become sort sort of conductor for lightening. Perhaps the fleece will ground you.

2.) This reminds me of those terrible weight-loss outfits that people used to wear in the 70s/80s. Not cool then, not cool now.

3.) I'm confident I wouldn't pay more than $3.00 for this jacket so the current "sale" price of $64.99 appears to me to be highway robbery.

4.) It's only appropriate to wear this jacket when you work here:

I think I'm going to pass on this one.

  1. HAHAHA!

That is HORRIBLE. And I can't even believe it is $65...CRAZY!

I love the foil comparison. Awesome.

I don't even think I would wear that if someone gave it to me for free! Ok, I would try it on and take a picture then post it on twitter or the bog....but I would never go out in public with it :)
