This is Lila.
It's a good thing that her name only consists of four letters because, frankly, she doesn't have time for any more.
She's got stuff to do.
Like coloring. Crafting. Making bracelets. Fairy House organizing. Painting. More painting. Cutting. Gluing. Sparkles.
She likes the sparkles.
She likes the dresses, the fancy shoes, the pinks and the now the blues.
(Thanks to Elsa.)
She has the kindest heart; the softest touch.
When Vivi wouldn't kiss me the other day; there was Lila, immediately offering her needy mommy a smooch.
She started off as an introvert and somewhere along the line became an extrovert, but only sometimes.
She reaches out to the kids who aren't playing with anyone.
She gives everything away. (We had to enstate a rule against giving away stuff without us knowing.)
She's not willing to give up rights to everything, though...
She was recently irate with her sister because apparently Vivi had dreamed about unicorns...
"I AM THE ONE WHO DREAMS ABOUT UNICORNS. YOU CANNOT TAKE MY DREAM."
She's big into unicorns.
The other day I was explaining to her that she could make a wish when I took the small golden clasp that had fallen forward on her necklace and moved it to the back of her neck. Before I could go on to tell her that the wish had to be silent, she blurted out:
"I wish for a unicorn."
With the biggest smile on her face.
I couldn't help but smile. I smile as I type this.
"What would you do with a unicorn?"
"I'd ride it school and show my friends."
And that's my Lila Pickle.
