Annual family pics and our 2013 Christmas Card

So this year we decided to do the opposite of last year... Last year was bright colors and beach. This year was muted colors and greenery.

We were so very honored to have Sara Richardson shoot our family photos. She's incredible. Check out her website here, her facebook page here and her blog here.

We dragged her out, 7 months pregnant, and she captured personalities. I'm so thankful for these photos. Thank you again, Sara. They make my heart happy.

I'm sharing a ton... because how do you show just one?

Vivi's struggled throughout this whole session. Well, that's not right.
Vivienne made us laugh throughout the whole session.

I love that Lila has her hand on her hip...

Oh, Vivi...

This was as close as they'd stand together. Lila would scoot closer to Vivienne; Vivienne would move away.

Lila thought her dress was too long so I told her she could wear my ring in her hair and one of my necklaces... She was fine then.

With Lila you just need to speak in, "accessories."

Oh, Lila...

I have no idea where Vivienne gets the faces...

I adore this one.

Kindly note Vivi's tattoo.

This makes my heart happy.

So does this.

Oh, I love this man so much.

And here's our 2013 Christmas Card.

Sigh.

Merry Christmas.

Here are the cards of years past:

Our 2012 Christmas card...

And, the back...

(Vivienne is actually 22 months old. Whoops.)

    1. Thank you. We all can be self-critical with our pics, but I'm deciding to just roll with them and be happy. I'm blessed with this little family, for sure.

    1. Thank you!

      Here's the top: http://piperlime.gap.com/browse/product.do?vid=1&pid=632407012

I had to order it THREE TIMES! The first time, I ordered one that was too small. The second time a BLUE shirt with sleeves and no peplum showed up, the third time it was this one. I don't have a long enough waist torso for the short, but I sort of loved it. :) Thank you!

And than you again for YOUR card!!! Lila wants to play with Keira. :) Vivi picked Henry.

  6. Oh my goodness, these pictures are awesome!!!

I mean besides the fact that they are gorgeous photos (and your Christmas card is so cute!), the pictures truly captured your family which is amazing!! I mean, you have Lila sitting on the blanket so sweet with her flower and long hair and it is perfect. And then you have Vivi with her faces and upside down on the blanket and that is perfect. Seriously, these pictures are imperfectly perfect and she did an amazing job!

    (ok, done saying perfect)

LOVE all of these photos for so many different reasons. Beautiful...just like you and your family.

(You could start a book with the faces your children...and you....make. ADOR.A.BLE.)

P.S. I "awwwwwww'd" the whole time at looking at past cards. Where has the time gone?!?!

    1. Oh, friend. I love you. Thank you so much for your compliments. You're so right, she captured us. I'm so happy with these.

Thank you for your lovely words, and you're right - WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE? (So said the old people.) Next thing you know the music will be too loud and we'll be eating dinner at 3:30 p.m.

    1. Oh friend, I can't tell you how many times I've looked at these... and just smiled. I want to keep them little forever. I want time to stand still...

No matter what the last three months have been, I'm so, so blessed. They're my daily reminders.

      HUG to you.

  10. These are fantastic, just fantastic. I especially love the more candid ones - the photos where you can see YOU making more of a Kylee face. TOO CUTE! I love it. Each more adorable and endearing than the next.

What were the girls looking at in one of the first photos? Baby chicks? Little fur balls?

Merry Christmas to you my friend! xo

  13. Beautiful people. Every last one of you. These photos captured that perfectly. Outward beauty, yes. But the smiles and looks show the inner beauty you all have as well. And the love you have for each other. I can't get enough.
