Product Review: The Knot Genie Brush

10/14/2013 05:08:00 AM

So Craig sent me a link and told me that I should buy this brush for our resident four-year-old Rapunzel.

It's the Knot Genie. You've heard of it?

Yeah, me neither.

As it turns out, it's INCREDIBLE.

Prior to acquiring this little pink brush (We bought The Teeny Genie) combing out Lila's hair was a whiny nightmare. She would hold her head and try to cover with her hands where I'd need to brush and then I'd proceed to tell her to, "PLEASE MOVE YOUR HANDS." And then she'd say, "NO! It's HURTING ME." Then I'd say, "Then I guess we should cut off your hair." And then she'd say, "NO! I want long hair like a princess." Then I'd say, "THEN hush and let me brush your hair."

That would happen. Every time.

Until NOW.

Apparently the different lengths of bristles is the magic of this here knot genie.

Whatever.

All I know is that it's MORE than worth $14.69. I'd spend $30.00 on this thing.

True story.

*Nope, not compensated for this review. :) This product just works for us!

  1. Lily never fought very much, but was starting to (she is a trooper). I bought a wet/dry brush that my stylist actually used on my knotty color-treated hair when it was longer. It has been a lifesaver. I wish I'd remembered to tell you about it sooner. It's amazing and I'm sure very similar to the genie.

Sidenote - have you ever cut Lila's hair? I am starting to contemplate and garner the courage to cut Lily's a bit shorter. It's down past her bottom when wet and hangs just above it dry. I think it might be time... sigh...

  2. Brilliant!! Glad you found something that works!

"PLEASE MOVE YOUR HANDS." And then she'd say, "NO! It's HURTING ME." Then I'd say, "Then I guess we should cut off your hair." And then she'd say, "NO! I want long hair like a princess." Then I'd say, "THEN hush and let me brush your hair." hahahahaha! I can hear this :-)

We don't even brush Henry's hair because he has so little of it. He hasn't even had his first hair cut!!!
