Fact: The internet, it does connect us.
Back in 2006 I remember meeting this particular person. I was a new marketing director in Cabo and she worked with our creative agency in Phoenix. I remember venturing to Arizona to visit hear team for the first time and poor Mel, she got the lowly task of picking me up from the airport and entertaining me.
I immediately liked this warm-spirited girl who I'd gotten to know only over email and the phone. On site, I believe we hugged. The energy, the kindness, the lightness, the REALness -- I literally liked her from the beginning. And I still do today.
Since then, she's gone on to other roles, but BECAUSE OF THE INTERNET I still feel connected and we still randomly chat. And I love that. (Go interweb!)
Mel - I hope today is WONDERFUL. I wish you all the happiness in the world and I'm so pleased that MA made us friends. You're more than a survivor, you're a creator of happy. You have a spark. You're seriously, one-in-a-bajillion.
I'm glad you were born. I hope today is your best ever.
With a BIG, huge hug,
P.S. Look for Mel's blog in my blog roll at the right. She's Quicky Chaos. See here.
