...and, we're here. TOLEDO, baby.

Lila. En route. Flight #1.
The four of us arrived in Dee-troit at half-past-midnight early Friday morning. We were tired.

And the girls? They were the best they'd ever been flying, to date. (Thank you, Jesus.)

Lila was pumped. Airplane ride number one thrilled her. Airplane ride number two, just as exciting. She was well-behaved and excited and great. AND, the bonus was that she slept the ENTIRE second flight. (2 hours and 45 minutes.) Excellent.

Vivienne, however, demonstrated yet again that she is physically incapable of snoozing while traveling via air. She didn't sleep at all (!!!) -- but was oddly joyful and cute. She loved socializing with people on the plane and only cried 2 or 3 times for 2 or 3 minutes per time. I consider that a success.

Both girls did so well and both crashed in the car as soon as we were Toledo-bound.

The last 36+ hours have been somewhat odd - the time change really affects toddlers. It also doesn't help that we didn't settle in at Craig's Mom's house until 3:00 a.m. Ohio time.

Anywho - onward we are marching.

We'd been here less than 48 hours and already walked down to the local Farmer's market.

The ladies wanted to wear their new tiaras.

'Twas a beautiful day in downtown Toledo.

The farmer's market.

There were so many people there, which was lovely to see. So many great plants and flowers and gorgeous produce. (I sound like Martha Stewart sans incredibly descriptive adjectives.) I'll tell you what, from what I've seen, the hydrangeas are in bloom all over town and they're STUNNING.

My favorite picture of the day.

Vivienne, meet the chickens.

And then we went home with kale, fresh garlic, cheese from Defiance, Ohio, Polish coffee cake, blueberries, green peppers, green beans and sugar snap peas.

YUM.

Lila wasn't super in to the Farmer's Market visit... as it turns out she has some sort of stomach bug. Poor thing has now thrown up (sorry, it's gross - but it's my blog, my life) THREE TIMES today and is currently sleeping it off. We hope.

Ah, the irony of it all -- she lives in Mexico and has never been sick from food. She comes to Ohio and gets sick on Day #2.

Vacation continues.

Now I will have a glass of wine.
