Lila: "Mommy, I want cake. You have cake?"

Me: "No, Lila. I'm sorry. I don't have any cake."

Lila: "No, cake in your purse?"

  1. Ah, I love Lila. She's a girl after my own heart. I just would replace "cake" with "brownies". Oh how I wish there were brownies anywhere and everywhere when I needed one. Sometimes, we just need sugar. I get it. ;)

  2. I don't know how he knows, but Ethan's 2nd birthday is in a week and a half (April 5) and he asks for cake *every* *day*. Multiple times a day, some days. And cookies... although I guess I don't know if he wants to eat cookies, or if he wants Cookie Monster.

  3. That's awesome. That you had cake in your purse and that your little one is forever going to remember it. :) We had a dog once (I know, very different) who found a french fry in the back seat of the car, and he looked for another for years and years.
