Love her.

Driving to school this morning. AH. I love her.

Lila was incredible this morning. And this is my blog so I can brag about her, right?

First off, she got out of her bed and didn't BARGE into our room like she's the PO-lice telling us, "I NEED TO GO POTTY" like she ALWAYS does. Instead, she went potty quietly by herself, went back into her room and read books.

WHOA. THIS IS A TURNING POINT. (Will it happen again? I'd bet not.)

NEXT, Vivienne was up crying in the sixes (6:00 a.m. - 6:59 a.m.) and this is something we try to ignore. Lila couldn't.

She walked into our room and said, "I go help Wee-vee, Mommy? I give her books?"

From my bed, I said, "Absolutely."

She went into Vivienne's room and I heard her say, "Ah morning, Wee-vee!" Then she turned on her light, talked to her and proceeded to give her books to read in her crib.

A few minutes later, Lila came back into my room and said, "Mommy, Wee-vee's nose is running."

Sweet girl.

So I got up, took care of Vivi's nose... THEN, about a minute after I was finished, Lila comes trotting into Vivi's room with a tissue. She was a little late to the game, but she was going to wipe Vivi's nose for her if I hadn't.

Kind.

I told her how awesome she was. How she was such a big helper to help Vivienne when she was crying. She replied with, "Yeah. I know. You're weln-come. Wee-vee needed you."

Next, this was a CRAZY-CHAOTIC morning. Craig had an 8 a.m. meeting he forgot about and remembered at 7:45 a.m.  So, in order to help me get ready, deal with both ladies and get stuff done before I had to take Lila to school, put Vivi down her for AM nap and go to work, I asked Lila if she wanted to watch TV.

Our conversation:

Lila: "I want to watch Underpants. I would like to watch underpants, pease."

Me: "What? What are you speaking of? Whose underpants do you want to watch? And more importantly, why?"

Lila: "I want to watch U-n-d-e-r-p-a-n-t-s." (She said it slower for me this time.)

As it turns out, "Underpants" is code for "Wonder Pets" on Nick Jr.

I'm relived that my daughter wanted to watch a cartoon about a duck, turtle and guinea pig saving animals as opposed to watching someone in their underthings.

But seriously, GOOD GIRL, Lila.

Good girl.
