We'll be gone in two shakes of a lambs tail. (I love idioms.)

We're so close to heading home.

This is a good thing.

While I love Toledo and Ohio, it's not home.

Home is where my little family lives and sadly, we don't live hear anymore. Ohio, the back roads, I know Ohio... like the back of my hand... (I digress, yay Over the Rhine.)

...still, I'm excited about heading home and I know my ladies and my husband are on the same page.

It's been a great visit. Awesome to see people. Awesome to meet people who read my blog. Disappointing to not see others. Life is a bit more complicated with wee ones but I wouldn't change for anything in all the world. Happiness? I has it. Guilt? I don't.

So, tomorrow around 4 p.m. we'll be heading to Dee-troit to spend the night at the airport and prepare for our 7:45 a.m. flight (boo. hiss. gross) on Tuesday. Yet another place for our little ones to sleep before they get back to their respective crib and mini-bed.

We suspect it just might be a titch stressful, what with four suitcases, a checked single stroller (that I brought with me) and the double stroller (that C. brought with him) and a 2-year-old and a teething 8-month-old. And two computers. And carry-on's. And other stuff.

May the force be with us.

P.S. I need to write a Vivienne Viernes (Friday Vivienne Update) and a Lila Lunes (Monday Lila Update) STAT.... Vivienne waves and I swear her hair is totally growing. Lila is talking up a storm and well, she's Lila.

  1. Have a safe flight home! I highly recommend those carts at the airport to carry all your stuff. It saved us when we went to FL with both girls around those ages and had our hands as full as yours will be. Lifesaver.

  4. Oh so sad that I wasn't able to make it up to see you, but oh so happy that you're getting to head home to your routine. I can't imagine how wonderful and yet stressful this trip has been. I wish for you as stress-free a trip as possible, and a relieved homecoming!

    Hugs.
