I went back to work, and I'm not kidding - it didn't even OCCUR to me to check how much gas Lola had.
Throughout my entire maternity leave, I bet I filled up my car 4 times? Maybe?
So I'd be lying if I didn't say that I turned off the 'ole air conditioning and prayed that I'd make it to the gas station.
Whew. I made it.
With 8 miles left to go. (A new record for me.)

Aren't there just some things you don't want to deal with? I don't want to worry about filling up my gas tank and I want there to always be milk in my fridge. Easy as that.
You? What do you hate worrying about?

I'm with you on the gas thing - I hate worrying about it. Thankfully my car is like yours - it counts down how many miles I have left until I'm completely out. I've gone down to 2 miles! My rationale is that there's got to be room for a little reserve in there? Ha! I also detest worrying about an oil change. My car also tells me when I need to get the oil changed and it drives me INSANE because a light comes on every time I turn on my car, alerting me about it. I wait until my husband drives my car a couple times and gets irritated with it enough to just go change it himself!
ReplyDeleteI have a near panic attack if my tank gets below quarter of a tank. I have issues, I know. :) Glad you made it.
ReplyDeleteThis is so lazy, but I hate bringing in the mail. I hate it. Then I have to deal with it, sort it, God forbid open it. UGH!
ReplyDeleteI HATE getting oil changes, too. My car tells me when I am down to "15% oil life" and it won't go away until I get it changed. It now says "10% oil life." I plan on going Monday :(
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI wish our car had that how many till you are screwed feature, that would be great!
ReplyDeleteI agree, I hate filing up gas and wish it was always full. I would also love that the dishes are always clean and I don't have to worry about washing them or unloading the dishwasher. I also don't want to worry about going to the grocery store and wish what I wanted was always in the fridge. You know, just small things :)
I am the worst for filling up! I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate to do it. Strange. And every time I drive it until that light dings on I just happily drive knowing I have about 60km reserve. In the back of my voice I hear my brother lecturing me about using "bottom of the tank" gas. Meh.
ReplyDeleteI wish my dry cleaning was always hanging in my closet with my work pants perfectly pressed and ready to go whenever I need them.
