Questions answered.

The other day I was a titch busy and didn't know what to write about... so I asked ya'll to ask me some questions.

Here are my answers/responses:

Response: I know. I actually should have written, "Axe me a question." That totally would have been funnier.

Indeed, I've heard of Florence and the Machine and have commented a couple of times on Florence's awards shows dress choices. I will check her out more thoroughly, though - since I know you and trust your musical recommendations.

What am I listening to these days? When I can? I'm listening to the sound of silence. When that's not possible it's usually Lila saying, "Hm? Hm? Hm?" 85 times in a row or Vivienne's crying.

Next question:

Response: At this point in my life, I'm thrilled if I leave the house without my gnarly, old, beat-up red faded flip flops on my feet. It seems that every time I think I look good, I forget one thing: to do my hair, to change my shirt, to wear cute shoes...

In Cabo, I never leave my house without my sunglasses. Ever. (I was like this when I lived in Toledo, OH, too.) And, I'm a huge believer in buying sunglasses sans the little wire-nose-pad things because those ALWAYS get stuck in my hair. My look = hair piled on top of my head and sunglasses.

Also, sadly I don't watch Dancing with the Stars. Just not enough room on the DVR. I mean, I had to add back in Real Houseswives of Orange County, and all.

Here you are, dear friend.

I'll try to find some better side-by-sides. :)

Last question:

Response. Awesome. Here's a cute video of Vivienne from last night. Snoring while in the sling. You know, since you asked...

About butter/margarine. I've always tended toward butter because it's more natural than margarine. (I find melted margarine to be frightening.) For years and years, margarine had trans fats and tons of not so great things in it - now I understand that there are more healthful alternatives on the market (for those of you who live in the States.) Still, the choice for mi familia y yo (and I) is unsalted butter.

I use butter for cooking/baking, too - and let's just say that my chocolate chip cookies are ALWAYS flat as pancakes. (But C. tells me this is because I let the butter get to warm. But then I tell him, "Hey - we live in Mexico. There's a fine line between 'room temperature' and 'melted.' I can't help it if when I put the butter on the counter it melts in a hot (pun intended) second.)

  1. I love the comparisons! They remind me of my girls - different, yet totally sisters.

  2. i love the comparison photos, too! they look like sisters, but i think what struck me most were the similar postures / expressions in each set of photos -- slightly panicky looking in the chairs, stiff in the boppys, and happy as clams in bed... both with at least one arm up by their heads. so fun!! thanks for sharing!

  3. The comparison pics are incredible. In the first several they looked nearly identical. . . but in the last one you could totally see their uniqueness. What fun!

  4. AWESOME! I love it!!! I love that you have pics of them in the same outfits :)

You can definitely tell they are sisters but can see their unique qualities. Amazing!!!!

  5. 1. I stopped eating margarine after a 9th grade health class when scary Mr. Heidelberg told me "that gray trash can in the corner is made of the same stuff"

    2. I wish I would have posted our "would you rather" from last week as a question - it fell along gender lines: Would you rather be a midget or a polygamist? (there's probably something more PC than "midget", like "dwarf", but if I was vertically challenged, I would rather be a midget than a dwarf.)

  6. I enjoyed the comparison photos as well. Ha, I was totally wrapped up with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills so yah, RH totally trumps dancing.
