Produce Report: 32 weeks

8 more weeks! 8 more weeks! According to babble.com, my baby is the size of four oranges. According to my doctor, my baby weighs about 4 lbs - exactly what I was told about Lila. We shall see about that...

Let's dig in, shall we?

Q. How am I feeling?
A. Tired. Big. Semi-grumpy. Guilty (For being grumpy) Irritable. Exhausted. Full.

(Note: I still completely and 100% understand and respect how much a blessing it is to be doing what I'm doing. I get it. I'm on board with pregnancy. If pregnancy was a facebook group, I'd like it. But truth? Towards the end, it ain't all that easy. Less rainbows and butterflies, more indigestion and discomfort. And yes, I know I have 7-8 weeks left.)

Q. How am I feeling PHYSICALLY?
A. I think I've been having slight braxton hicks. I'm trying to slow down but if any of you know me, you know that is virtually impossible. I don't sit. I don't ask for help. I just go. It's sort of my most annoying trait, if you ask me. I wish I could learn the art of understanding I don't have to do it all.

Q. Am I craving anything?
A. Yes, brie cheese. OMG. I love brie. [I'm stopping writing this post right now so I can go get a slice of it. Ok. I'm back.]

Q. How do I feel about pregnancy/maternity clothes.
A. Friends, ladies, pregnant women and soon-to-be-pregnant women: you simply cannot go wrong with Gap jeans. You can't. I wear them every.single.day. Gap maternity clothes a.) wash well, b.) are comfortable and soft and c.) are WORTH the investment. (Especially if you get pregnant 10 months after your first child, like me. :)

As far as shirts go: I wear tanks everyday. (This is because my core body temperature hovers around 112 degrees.) You can layer. I don't like the Old Navy ones at all. However, I like ANY other ones that have a bit of spandex in them. (Yep, tight.) I'd rather look like I'm smuggling a watermelon than wearing a circus tent.

Q. Have we started Baby Girl's room?
A. Not yet! But more and more accessories have arrived and we're getting excited. We may change the wall-color decision from brown to pink. Yep. We like pink around here. Thoughts?

The brown option.

The bright pink option.

The muted pink option.

Your thoughts? Brown, bright pink or muted pink?

Q. How's the weight gain going?
A. I'm proud to say that I'm doing alright. I weigh just about the same thing as I weighed at this time with Lila. I've gained a total of 26 lbs. It feels like 66 lbs. I cannot get over how differently I'm carrying this baby weight. I swear, if I didn't have an ultrasound on every visit - I'd think it was a boy.

Q. How are the doctor's appointments going?
A. Very well! It's incredible how much more easy-going the appointments are this time around. At this point, I'm going to the doctor every two weeks.

Q. Anything else going on?
A. Nope! I believe this is it!

Here we are...

  1. Your bod looks fab. I know it's hard for you to see it, but you truly look fantastic.

I really, really like all the wall options. I know I'm generally more of a bright pink kind of gal, but I'm really digging the brown.

Oh my gosh I can't wait to meet her. :)

  2. How cute are you? Really. Adorable.

You remind me of myself with the doing it all comment. If you figure out that trait, let me know...I could use it as well.

I like the brown or muted pink option. Those are actually the colors of E's room, so I'm partial. ;)

  6. 8 weeks! That is crazy! You definitely do not need to do everything and it is OK to ask for a little assistance. Take it easy and enjoy this time before your little girl shows up....everything will get done that needs to get done :)

I also am a big fan of the brown but those pinks are cute as well! Can't wait to see what you decide.

(And as always, you are one hot lady!)

My dearest friend, you look beautiful. Hang in there -- it'll be the end of January before you know it!

  8. Another vote for muted pink! I like brown too, but I think it darkens the room too much.

  9. I think I like the muted pink best. About 8 months ago, I would have picked brown, but somewhere I've found this love of pink :)

  10. Ky, you do look fab. You look like you are growing a beautiful baby girl.

I like the brown option - will get a lot of sunlight? Otherwise it may be too dark. Of course, you ARE in Mexico.

  11. I love our brown walls, but I don't think you could go wrong with any of those.

Love your pregnancy jeans. Isn't it great that they make some that are still cool looking?
