Day #2 of controversial topics.

Welcome to Day #2 in our unintentional series of controversial topics.

The other day I was watching The View because Adrian Grenier was on. And, I just so happen to watch Entourage and am appalled by this past season and I wondered if he was going to comment on it.

As it turns out, Mr. Grenier was actually on The View amping up his new documentary (???) about this little paparazzi. I say "little" because this little celebrity photographer is a kid. A minor.

Anywho, as Grenier was being berated interviewed by the [ridiculously pompous] women of The View, he mentioned that his parents were in the audience. And the camera quickly panned to two very midwest-looking, down-home, norm-looking parents.

My mind wandered...

Any of you watch Entourage?

While I can safely say that the SOLE reason I watch it is because my evil-side really likes Ari Gold, the rest of me thinks that the guys are just dumb. And ridiculous. And there is SO much nudity and gratituious sex on that show that it annoys me and makes me wish I could close my eyes and forget that ever happend. And Adrian Grenier is about as terrible of an actor as January Jones. (However, the two of them would more than likely beautiful babies.)

So, my mind is still thinking: OMG. Adrien Grenier has parents. His parents have SEEN him being "intimate" ON T.V. with countless women.

Eek.

Then I naturally thought of strippers and porn stars.

I cannot even FATHOM that women who choose that particular career path have parents... and grandparents. Why? Because I can't.

Yep, it's a career. And indeed I'm certain it's sometimes lucrative. But quite honestly it's kind of one of those things that I like to remain hush about. (Since I don't think I have too many complimentary things to say.)

Here's what I WILL say: I believe that women should support other women to be the BEST they can be. And I also believe that the majority of women would strongly prefer that their sisters/daughters choose to not be career sex stars. It's just not my dream for my daughter(s). In fact, I can only hope that my baby girls grow up feeling confident in their CLOTHED selves and never feel that alleged magnetism of the sex industry.

Let's support one another to be the best we can be. While clothed.
Let's encourage one another to work in environments where VD, herpes and syphilis aren't possible on-the-job hazards.

I'm just saying.

  1. AGREE. I am not saying every girl who gets into these "career" choices has family issues, but come one there has to be something or someone missing in their lives.

As for these HBO shows, I like some of them (while Entourage is NOT one that I like) but do NOT like all the sex and women putting themselves out there like they do. I am a prude, so what. I feel there are just some things that need to be kept closed off from others and I don't how people on Entourage or True Blood can have those kinds of scenes that SO many people watch. At least with porn, many people will not watch it....but I know alot of people who watch these HBO shows and I would NEVER EVER want my parents or grandparents or family or friends for that matter seeing me partaking in those actions or seeing parts of me like that on TV. yuck. Makes me sick thinking about it!
