Produce Report: 16 weeks

As it turns out, Baby 2011 is the size of an avocado this week. (It's been kind of fun comparing THESE produce reports to the first round. Here's Lila's 16 week report here.)

Q. How am I doing?
A. At this very moment in time, I'm on the verge of tears because there's nothing to eat in our house. Strike that. I'm on the verge of tears because I don't want to eat ANYTHING that's in this house and I am ridiculously hungry and cannot even communicate what I would like because I'm not all that sure.

Q. So, am I saying I'm hormonal?
A. Yes, there's a chance

Q. Aside from the food issue, how are you feeling?
A. Pretty good! I'm sleeping great and I have as much energy as I'd expect someone in my position to have. However, I'm fluffy. I really worked out a ton during my first pregnancy, I need to get back that train. Hmm...
Q. Let's talk gender. Do I get to find out the gender of our baby today?
A. Hopefully!

Q. Will I be sharing said gender with my blogging community-of-friends?
A. Of course. My appointment is at 5 p.m. MT (7 p.m. EST) and it will last approximately one hour. Then, I will have to go home and soak it all in and then promptly order the baby's bedding (if the gender is confirmed).

But I will, I repeat, I will be disclosing the gender. (I can't ask you what you think the gender is and then NOT tell you. Thank you to all who voted! If you still haven't - feel free to vote in the top right-hand corner of my blog!)

Note: I can't promise that I'll be disclosing the name...

Q. Do I have an INKLING of what the baby's gender will be?
A. No! Believe it or not... Here's what I do know: I know that right now it sort of feels like Christmas Eve. I can't believe that within 24 hours we will possibly know the gender of this sweet baby. We're going to know who our fourth (human) family member is. I just can't get over this whole thing. I think finding out the gender is finally going to make this pregnancy seem real to me.

Whew.

There's something bittersweet about this moment... I can't quite put my finger on it.

Q. Do I intend to give birth in Mexico?
A. Yep.

Q. Do I plan on having a repeat c-section?
A. I'm weighing the pros and cons of both a VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section), then throwing in my location here in Mexico and my medical access then my past experience. This may be something I blog about; or I might not. Bottom line: I'm going to do what I think is best for my family, for me and for that sweet Baby 2011.

And, I'm more than likely going to stop reading the vaginal birth versus c-section propaganda that's out there. Oy. Enough. Sorry about that.

Q. Have I felt Baby 2011 move yet?
A. Literally, as I was editing this post I said to Craig. "Yep. The baby just moved." It was sort of a, "flop." Awesome. YAY! Another active sweetie pie doing somersaults in my abdomen. So cool. SO cool. Feeling the baby move is my most favorite part about pregnancy. (My second favorite: a larger up-top.)

Ok! That's all for now...

Here I am at 16 weeks. (I had just gotten out of the shower and had no makeup on so I chose to avert my face from the camera. You're welcome. :)

There's definitely a baby in there!
(Holy cow!)

...talk to you very soon!

I just have to say I don't remember the countdown baby being quite so creepy last time. Please tell me that's the umbilical cord and not another one of your sneaky messages, LOL!
