Confession.

Lila and I like to dance to Katy Perry's, "California Gurls" song. (We both agree that her spelling of "gurls" is annoying, though.)

I know.

But it's LESS embarrassing than my confession last summer regarding how I actually kind of liked "Party in the USA" by Hannah Montana, or whatever. (You put your hands up...)

I can't help it. I'm a sucker for a mindless chorus.

  2. i'm actually with you on both songs. i'm glad though that we have snoop dog getting behind this katie perry song...i'm not so sure he'd support Miley - and what's good enough for snoop is good enough for me!

  3. OK, I'm sorry -- I just can't get beyond "so hot, we'll melt your popsicle." At that point: Done, dead to me, OVER. :)

(Sadly, I'm totally with you on Party in the USA. Which means I'm a giant hypocrite.)

  4. Ha! That's Sophia's favorite song right now. She likes when Katy tells her to "put your hands up" and then does her little "ooh, oh, oh..." tidbit. She shakes her little toddler hips and it makes me laugh every.single.time. For that, I like the song. ;)

  5. when i heard the song this morning, i thought of you and where it says "sippin' gin and juice", i thought you could say "sippin apple juice" to Lila.

  7. I agree for both songs. If the song makes me want to dance, I'm immediately in love. I don't even care the cheesiness factor.
