I hate April Fool's Day

Dear Friends,

I do not like April Fool's Day. (Or Halloween, for that matter.) I am not a fan of practical jokes because I feel that they inevitably hurt someone's feelings.

No one likes to be the butt of the joke. I mean, really.

And no matter how many times you say, "It was just a joke..." Or, "It was all in good fun..." it doesn't matter.

So kids, Two Pretzels is practical joke-free zone today and always.

Sincerely signed:
The most gullible person on the planet who has fallen prey to more than one embarassing practical joke.

Be careful today...

  2. I know, I'm w/ ya. On both holidays. They just aren't my thing. I'm trying to remember all day that its April Fools day just in case!

(though I did contemplate calling my husband and telling him I'm in labor.... but I feel that might just be downright mean!)

  3. Jokes are only funny if they are quick, like....

    "Its snowing in Ohio!"
    "What?"
    "April Fool!"

I agree that the mean ones suck! You can only get people that like getting got.

  7. I kept trying to think of one to play on my husband, and all my ideas were waaaaaay too mean. I'm with you -- April Fool's jokes are either pointless or mean. Or both.

    Although I kinda liked Google's... :)
