This is one ugly license plate.

Blech.

As it turns out, I hear that it's not MANDATORY.  See here.

  1. Funny thing is, I didn't know it was a "farm" rolling fields look. All I noticed was the sun and every time it messes me up b/c its Ohio and I don't really think "sun" when I think Ohio. So for awhile I kept thinking it was for a sunny state.
I gotta say that plate does look better in person.... no, I don't have one on my car though.

  2. The workers scowled at me when I opted out.

No thanks, dudes. It just doesn't jive with me.

  4. My husband said it looks like a license plate for Iowa, not Ohio. I said "but it has an airplane"...so it MUST be Ohio. LOL.

I seriously thought they were 'out of state' plates the first time I saw one.

Very ugly. Epic fail Ohio. Epic.

  5. LOL. How funny... and hideous.

I also think it's hilarious that Ohio and North Carolina both claim the Wright brothers thing.

    Ohio: "Birthplace of Aviation"
    NC: "First in Flight"

    Fight, fight, fight!

  6. I passed on these too.

When the lady at the DMV asked me if I wanted the "beautiful Ohio" plates, I thought she was saying "beautiful" sarcastically. Turns out, that's what they're called, the "Beautiful Ohio" plate.

  8. See, now I think these plates are just hideous.

Sarah W. - that's funny that both states claim they founded aviation.

It's like they're both Al Gore claiming they founded the internet.
