No blogging until 2010.

(I've got to tell you, I'm a little sad to see 2009 go... You know, what with it being the year I was pregnant and had Lila...)

No one told our office plaza.

It appears that the people who own the plaza that houses my office don't know that Christmas is over.

They can turn off the muzack anytime now.

Specifically the dogs barking, "Jingle Bells".

Shoot me.

Butt dialing.

As it turns out, I frequently butt dial, have recently butt blackberry-messaged, and constantly butt photograph.

Yes, here's yet another one of my "photos" taken with my butt, on my blackberry.

I call it, "Night."

I figured it out.

Harken back to the days of 'old, will ye?

When microwaves were purchased to sit on microwave carts.

When popcorn was made in air poppers.

When every kitchen across America had a wall-phone with a super-long, curly cord so your Mom could cook and talk in the phone at the same. (OR so you could actually stretch the cord around the corner of the kitchen and into the bathroom to talk to your B.F.F. in "private". Yep, that was me.)

Ah yes, harken back to the time of the T.V. that was actually referred to by it's formal name: "television set." Remember, it had no remote.

Yep, ponder that.

We didn't have remotes for our T.V.s.

We had to get our butts up and physically turn the channel from Magnum P.I. to Knight Rider. (Or from Mr. T & the A-Team to Charles in Charge.)

We don't need Wii Fit. We need to burn the remotes across the U.S.

I'm telling you.. that my friends, is the secret to the prevention of Type II diabetes in lazy kids.

I'm just sayin'.

Eh, no. I still don't believe it.

Even though the lady on the commercial says, "Cash 4 gold is totally legit," I'm not sure I believe it.

Nor do I believe the other lady who says that, "Cash 4 gold paid for my whole Christmas."

Nope.

Lila Lunes: Christmas!

As it turns out, Lila's teething.
What does this mean?
She screams. And screams. AND SCREAMS.

My daughter used to be a *fantastic* sleeper. (She's been sleeping through the night - from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m. - since she was about 8 weeks old. I know, we're lucky.) Now, beginning on Christmas night, our daughter offered a gift to us: Craig's daughter has started to scream for the past three nights for upwards of TWO HOURS at a time.

I'm serious.

Does The Cupcake want oragel to numb her baby gums? No. She hates it. Just screams louder.

Does The Cupcake take kindly to baby tylenol? No. It's like crack to her. It keeps her up.

Next on the agenda we're trying baby motrin. If that doesn't work, we're going to come up with some sort of tylenol PM for babies or ambien. (Trust me, there's a market for it.) Or, Jack Daniels or Jim Beam.

I'm serious.

Aside from that, Christmas was SO fun this year. It's been so awesome spending this Christmas with my Mom, too. I'm so glad she's here. The Broughton Four are happy.

Let's move on to the pics, no?

Looking at the courtyard Christmas tree with Grandma and Ferg.

Lila in her Christmas Eve outfit posing with her BFF.

Lila and her Daddy.
(I swear, they both smile whenever they see one another. I ♥ it.)

My Lilakins and I.

Remember I mentioned the teething?

Posing by our real Christmas tree!

Opening her Christmas gifts from Aunt T., Chloe and Max.
Cousin Clo assisting.

Please note the look of awe that Lila is using whilst staring at her cousin.
And, please note that I made that hat that Clo's wearing.

Lila had to introduce herself to Santa. So, she left him cookies and milk on her Santa plate.
He, being ever-so-friendly, left her a note in return.

Lila Ross on Christmas morning!
(I love this one. I adore that smile. Click on it. It's worth it.)

Please may I open one?

And this is what she did the whole time: she ate the gifts.
She loved, loved, LOVED the wrapping paper.
NOTE: red wrapping paper dyes white pj's pink.

Hanging out on Grandma's legs as we watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. (Can you BELIEVE my Mom had never seen it?!)

And, dressed in her Christmas dress from Uncle D. and Aunt. N. in Columbus!
Clearly, Christmas is very funny.

And finally, little Miss Lila enjoying her new tea set!

My favorite picture of the week.

Happy almost new year!

Yep. Get it? She's our "gift"?

Our 2009 Christmas card.
(It was mailed by the website we used to create them - they should be in mailboxes soon!)

You can click to make larger.
(Lila's waving. I love her.)

Out takes from the Christmas card "photo shoot".

Hope you had a merry one!

Yay!

Did you see Mickey D's blog? The twitter part?

YAY! YAY! YAY!

And that's all I'll say. Since it's not my story to tell. But... YAY!

MexMo: Santa at the Grocery Store.
Merry Christmas Eve Eve

As it turns out, this past Sunday when we were at C.C.C. in Cabo, (the one grocery store in town that sells Bisquick), SO WAS SANTA. (He clearly had everything ready to go for Thursday night's whirlwind trip and had some downtime on his hands...)

AND, even though Lila had just exploded and ruined her cute outfit and was wearing her substitute outfit: a onesie with no pants, we decided to put her on Santa's lap.

Go to this link to find her... http://www.ccc.com.mx/fotosanta/cabo47.html

Hint: she's the only little white baby.

HA!

Ok, here's the pic.

A.w.e.s.o.m.e.

Please note the classy fake fireplace on the left. And, realize that it was 80 degrees out. And understand that the music playing was not Christmas carols, like us Americans would think, but an up-beat Mariachi tune.

So great.

Super Special Birthday Alert!

Whose birthday is it?! My dear friend, Trophy Life's!

Oh dear friend, I think you're so absolutely wonderful. Your spirit inspires me.

I just love you.

I am so, so glad that you were born.

I hope you have the most wonderful birthday ever.

MUCH love from Me, C., Lila and of COURSE, The Ferg.

Whew, the white knight rides again.

My mini tree 1 is back up and running in tip-top shape! It indeed has about 65 more lights on it than it originally had... it's MORE gorgeous.

We're sort of hoping it doesn't burst into a Christmas ball of flames.

I'm happy to say...

Mini tree number 2 is up and running thanks to the 100 mini colored lights brought to Cabo by my mama. :)

Yesss...
