TV Roundup of the shows I watch.
GLEE & MadMen

First, MadMen.

OMG. That season finale was FANTASTIC.

  • It shook me a bit to see Don Draper so...broken.
  • I cannot stand Betty Draper. She's a tool. And, sure Betty - that new "suitor" is going to whisk you away and everything is going to be perfect. Sure, head to Reno (hope you see Lieutenant Dangle there) and everything will work out perfectly.
  • I ADORE Peggy Olsen's relationship with Don. And, she is undoubtedly our breakout, working woman/women's lib character. Love it.
  • Roger Sterling can do no wrong in my eyes.
  • I am thrilled that Joan Holloway is back. She's hot.
  • I literally got the chills when Joan answered the phone, "Sterling-Cooper-Draper-Price." Um, FUN.
  • I still hate Peter Campbell. (I cannot abide seeing him topless. He.is.gross. And his wife, Trudy? She's delusional. It must have been in vogue back then to marry clods and then blindly follow them.)
  • THIS is a fabulous show.
Second, Glee.

I have been dying to hear "Rachel Berry" (Lea Michelle) on Glee sing SOMETHING from Wicked. She reminds me SO much of Idina Menzel as Elphaba. (Below.)

She is really something.

Look out, Broadway.

P.S. I love this show!

Another P.S. I loved that we got so see the soft side of Sue Sylvester... I cried. (Of course, I did.)

(And yes, I'm listening to the Wicked soundtrack right now because of Glee. Specifically, "Defying Gravity". "I'm through accepting limits because someone says they're so... I think I'll try defying gravity, kiss me goodbye, I'm defying gravity... and you can't pull me down... I'm limited... together we're limited... together we'll be the greatest team there's ever been.. Glinda... dreams the way we planned 'em... if we work in tandem... there's no fight we cannot win...because you and me defying gravity..." So if you care to find me, look to the western sky, as someone told me lately, everyone deserves a chance to fly..., and if I'm flying solo, at least I'm flying free...and nobody in all of Oz, no wizard that is or was, is ever going to bring me down!")

Um, you are beyond words, my friend. We rented the first season of MadMen from the library and LOVED IT. Oddly, have not rented it since.
