I'd still be a writer, but I'd write what *I* want to write: Novels, children's books, my blog. I'd also like to make stuff (knitwear, furniture, etc.) and sell it.
I'm in marketing and PR now. What I'd love to do own my own boutique shop, selling handmade items from myself and other people, as well as vintage items. I'd go around the country in my RV curating items to stock my shop.
I do like my job, but if I could, I'd be a professional photographer - babies, kids, (not weddings), families, nature stuff with hopes of national geographic catching on to my fabulousness!
(I'd also LOVE to be a florest, like the designing part, not necessarily the growing part)
Or, if money was absolutely not an object, I'd devote my life to golf and somehow make the LPGA tour.
I work in marketing and communications, as well as advise a college student newspaper. (Sound familiar?)
I'd be an event planner. Not like the kind of events I planned at my previous job (public meetings, organization luncheons, fundraisers) - fun ones. Like kids' birthday parties and showers and weddings and reunions and anniversaries. I'd also write a kick-a** blog about my experiences.
If that didn't pan out, I'd be a window dresser (and blog about it).
I LOVE my job (I'm a second grade teacher) but I would also LOVE to be a stay-at-home mom. If I had to choose an actual career and I could pick anything, I'd want to be a crime scene investigator. I know, I watch too much TV but I think it's awesome.
Currently a SAHM and college professor. I LOVE both and would more than likely choose both if given any opportunity. I would choose a different college though...
Well...I would be a social worker, which I was before I had my kids and will someday go back to- in this event, I would totally work MY choice of hours, and not worry about how much I made and also have more free reign to help more effectively- less "red tape"! I loved it! i would even go back to the jail!(working there I mean!)
BY THE WAY CRAIG...YOU ARE, ALWAYS HAVE BEEN AND WILL ALWAYS, BE AN ARTIST...WHETHER YOU CAN MAKE MONEY ON it OR NOT- THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE IN MANY ASPECTS OF YOUR LIFE- I am "jealous" :)
p.s. I would never actually want to quit my job as a "SAHM" (it took me a while to get what those initials were on others' posts) precisely why I said i would want to be a SW AT MY OWN HOURS! :)
Currently I work in Sales booking events like weddings and rehearsal dinners, and other private events - but MOSTLY weddings.
Ideally, I would want to travel the world and be paid to photograph/blog/review my experience of different travel spots. I could help people plan their vacations but not like a travel agent - that's too stuffy, more like an island tour guide. Maybe live in each of these places for a month. Fabulous!

Sigh. Maybe someday...
I'd blog.
I'd be a florist.
I would look for new vera bradley fabrics.
I would be a shoe model.
I would work at a big fancy ad firm with prestigious clients instead of my little marketing department, but do exactly the same thing.
...or do web design from home!
**Addendum: I'd be a closed-toe shoe model.
I have terrible feet.

I'm an Audiologist now.

I work as a plastic surgery consultant.
I would be a stay at home mom, and just cook good meals, and clean my little corner of the world.

I would be a television reviewer where I'd get paid to write snarky things about shows that I watch.
Or a wedding dress consultant. Minus the salesperson aspect of it. Blech.
well, I have no job to quit...so I won't answer... but I have to say I love the photo you used for this post! ;)
Professional Photographer!
...Right now I nanny.
I'm currently a Realtor.
I would be an artist.
I'm a SAHM & sell Mary Kay (and am a dietitian, but currently not working as one).
Actually, I'd do any of the three above if I had to do it over. I love them all.
I always did want to write a book though. (not that I'm a good writer....) And I'd love to be a professional dancer.

I'm a graphic designer, currently at a small agency.
I would open up a shelter to rescue dogs & help them find homes. I'd love to have a facility to train them to be guide dogs.
I think being a restaurant critic or a judge on Top Chef would be super awesome too.
And, I would do art for fun...
I am currently a Credit Analyst for Chevron Natural Gas...
I would love to open a doggy day care!!!
& someday I will:)
I'd be independently wealthy. Or I'd flip houses. Or I'd run my own company.
I already run two and a half companies. I'm pretty much where I want to be.
hee hee, I can't believe so many want to be photographers (that's what I do). I will trade you for a week and you'll change your mind. ;)
Thank you for sharing such a nice article.
