Super good recipe.
(Yes, I know... a recipe from me!?)

This past weekend we made C.'s mom's, "Hamburger Vegetable Soup". It's so good. It's so easy. And it's PERFECT for fall weekends.

1 lb Hamburger
1 Cup Carrots
1 Cup Celery
2 lg Potato
1 Cup Onion
1 Lg Can Diced Tomatos
3 Cups Water
1/2 Tsp Pepper
2 Tsp Salt
2 Bay leaves
1 Can Peas
1/4 Tsp Crushed Basil (I use alittle more)

Cook hamburger and drain. Add everything else (raw veggies, spices and water) and simmer until done. (Until potatoes are cooked.)

Eat it with cornbread smothered in butter. Yum.

  1. Yummy. I love soups this time of year.

(word verification: chesse. That's almost cheese. I heart cheese.)

  2. The poor man's (ie, mine) version of this is hamburger, water, 2 packs of ramen, and half bag of frozen veggies. Hers looks better, tho.
