Favorite Product Roundup:
GOAL: Hooker eyes

I've got some doozies.

I've been on a quest for "The Mascara" since what seems like forever. As a fan of thick, hooker-like lashes, DiorShow has always my go-to mascara. I mean, it even smells like roses. However, move over Dior Show - welcome to my life Buxom.A.) I get the hooker-lashes I want and
B.) It literally washes off with warm water. (No raccoon eyes in the morning!)
C.) It gives full, defined lashes and works best with multiple coats.

$18.95 at sephora.com.

Note: I still like DiorShow, I just really like Buxom now, too.

I used to use a regular 'ole Mabelline eyelash curler. I splurged and bought this one at Sephora. (Still in an effort to get as hussy-like eyelashes as possible.)

Let's just say that I'll never go back. This is the eyelash curler for me. It's the "shu uemura" eyelash curler and it's fab. Try it.

  1. I wonder if it's a coincidence that a product called 'Buxom' gives a person 'hooker-like lashes'?

Many of the hussies I know are indeed buxom.

  2. I just tried that mascara and too and am in love.

  3. What about the smudge factor? Due to extreme dryness, I wear a light layer of eye cream under my eyes and I end up having a little ring of mascara under my eye by noon. Even waterproof ones let me down. How does this one stand up to humidity (being that you're in Mexico, and all...)?

I wanted to try Buxom a while ago but the negative reviews on www.makeupalley.com kept me away.

    Thanks for any info!

  4. I'll have to check these products out. I just tried fake eyelashes the other day. I posted it on my blog!

  5. Do you curl your eyelashes before or after mascara? This is always my dilemma.

  6. Anonymous - I have noticed NO smudge factor. At all.

I will say that the brush is somewhat big and is a wee bit difficult for me to maneuver on my lower lashes. However, it can be done. I tend to favor a smaller brush on the bottom though. Like the good 'ole pink-tube of what is that? Maybelline mascara?

I'm a fan. I'm telling you. Give it a whirl.

Quiet Oasis - I curl my lashes BEFORE I put on mascara. Then I wait until it's dry and curl them again. Then, if I feel like it, I put on more coats of the mascara and curl in between coats... of course waiting for it to dry so I don't accidentally pull my eyelashes out.
